Donation Disclaimer
This page explains how donations to Charm City Baltimore are intended to be used and what donors should understand before contributing.
Current Organizational Status
Charm City Baltimore is currently a community-driven project and is not yet represented on this website as a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Tax Deductibility
Unless and until Charm City Baltimore obtains recognized tax-exempt status and clearly states that status on this website, donations should not be assumed to be tax-deductible. Donors should consult their own tax professional regarding tax treatment.
How Donations Are Used
Donations are intended to support Charm City Baltimore’s mission, including neighborhood cleanup, environmental efforts, helping people in need, stray cat rescue, animal care, transportation, supplies, outreach, and related operational or mission-supporting costs.
Restricted and Category Donations
When a donor selects a specific giving category, Charm City Baltimore will make a good-faith effort to apply funds in a manner consistent with that category. However, funds may be redirected when reasonably necessary to address urgent needs, operational constraints, animal welfare concerns, community safety issues, or other mission-related priorities.
Processing Fees
Payment processors may deduct transaction or processing fees before funds are available for use by Charm City Baltimore.
No Refund Guarantee
Donations are generally considered voluntary and final. Refund requests may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, but refunds are not guaranteed.
Recurring Donations
Donors who enroll in recurring giving are responsible for reviewing and managing their recurring payment settings. Where available, recurring donations may be updated or canceled through the designated billing portal or by contacting support.
No Guarantee of Specific Outcome
A donation does not guarantee any specific action, timeline, rescue result, city response, adoption outcome, or measurable result. Donations support the broader mission and capacity of the project.
